This policy describes how Calvin Cheng (“we”, “us”) handles information when you visit calvinx.com (the blog, writings, Applied AI pages, and related static content). It is provided for transparency and to meet common requirements (for example Meta / Facebook app settings) when this site is linked to external services.
calvinx.com is a personal site: articles, a portfolio-style homepage, and information about professional topics (including the Applied AI Fellowship). There is no user account system and no paywall.
This site is hosted in a way that may log typical web data (for example IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and operations. When deployed on Vercel, we may use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand aggregate traffic and performance (for example page views and Core Web Vitals). Those tools are designed to use minimal, privacy-oriented signals; see Vercel’s documentation for how they treat data.
This site is mostly static content. Theme preference (light/dark) or similar UI settings may be stored in your browser. We do not run advertising cookies or third-party trackers beyond the hosting/analytics services described above.
If you use Facebook or other Meta products to open or share links to calvinx.com, Meta’s own terms and privacy policy apply to your use of those products. We do not receive your Facebook login details from simply visiting this site. Sharing a URL may cause Meta to fetch a preview (title, description, image) according to their systems.
Pages may link to GitHub, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), or other sites. Those services have their own policies; we are not responsible for their practices.
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this page occasionally. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
